Stoked Wins 3 Pixie Awards

Fresh TV's Stoked was awarded with 3 platinum Pixie awards from the American Pixel Academy for Opening Title Effects, Animation and Atmospheric Effects. 

"The Stoked animation crew and effects team were absolubtly thrilled when they found out," says Tom McGillis, creator of the series now seen on Teletoon.

Stoked is a character-driven animated sitcom about six teens who come together one summer to work at a beach resort off a coast of western Canada and spend their days off surfing the country's most epic waves.

The 2010 Pixie Awards, recognizes outstanding work in motion graphics, effects, and animation.

In its first year, the Pixie Awards received 344 submissions from all over the US and Canada, and 44 entries received the Pixie Platinum Award. The Pixie Gold Award was presented to 43 entries.

The Pixie Awards are sponsored by the American Pixel Academy, a coalition of
professionals and educators in the pixel media.
